Mission
At Iridescent Threads Counseling, we provide trauma-informed, relational, and queer-affirming therapy grounded in a decolonizing and systemic lens. We center multicultural, non-normative, and community-oriented ways of relating, honoring the complexity of each person’s lived experience. Our mission is to co-create healing spaces that are inclusive, anti-oppressive, and rooted in ongoing self-work, where unique voices are witnessed and empowered.
We envision a world where healing is collective, justice-rooted, and accessible to all. At Iridescent Threads Counseling, our vision is to nurture liberatory spaces where queer, multicultural, and relationally diverse communities can thrive. We strive to dismantle oppressive systems within and around us by practicing therapy that is deeply attuned, ever-evolving, and grounded in connection. Through ongoing self-reflection, education, and care, we aim to be part of a larger movement toward healing that uplifts each person’s full humanity and honors the iridescent threads that connect us all.

Vision
About Nic & Andreanna
We are Andreanna and Nic, a pair of grassroots counselors who share a vision of relational healing and growth stemming from the individual throughout the multilayered systems and communities that each of us belong to.
We met in our grad school counseling program at Texas State University and through a continuum of gatherings and long existential conversations we discovered a deep sense of alignment in passions, interests, and values that led us to decide to open our practice together. Over the course of grad school, we found the work we did on ourselves and our relationships allowed us to create stronger, healthier relationships based on healthy communication and safe repair after rupture. Through this personal growth we were inspired to tailor our practice to focus on supporting clients in the same kind of relational development and healing.
Our name, Iridescent Threads captures an aesthetic perfectly definitive of who we are. Iridescence holds the entire color spectrum complete with fractals and swirls making space for all parts. Threads highlights the relational emphasis on our work, how each individual thread is tied to a greater system and element of the tapestry.
